First Prize $300 Wangi Scarecrow Competition to raise funds for the development of the Wangi Community Garden. The Wangi Scarecrow Competition, while raising funds for the Wangi Community Garden development, will foster an interest in the community; Wangi Community Garden; Wangi Garden Club; Wangi Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Group; gardening and streetscape gardening.  The Wangi Scarecrow Competition has the potential to bring visitors to the Wangi Area creating an increase in tourism and sales for local business.
