Wangi Garden Club Minutes 24 October 2013

Start of Meeting: Meeting opened at 7:10 pm. ,

Place:  Uniting Church Hall 1 Fench Road Wangi Wangi

Present: Helen Cattalini, Peter Cattalini, Ros Cowley, Martyn Little, maureen Bishop, Myrna Sharplin, Sonje Dyke- Clarke, Lyn Muller

    Tea and coffee and biscuits before we began.

    Ros and Lyn introduce themselves. All attendees introduced themselves and talked a little bit about themselves and why they were there.

    Discussed why we all were coming to the garden club:

     advice for their gardens re plants, soil etc

    interest in how people started their garden

    What would we like to do in the garden club: ( brainstorming)

     have talks

    tours to open gardens

    look into Toronto garden club and what they do.

    swap plants, share ideas

    Advertising for new members;

    Poster for garden Club at Sonja’s hardware

    letter drop

    brochures in shops, Men’s Shed meetings, Probus meetings, Community notice board, advertise in the Lake Mail: The Post ( David Stewart 49 73 7000 ext;08) - 2 weeks before the lakes mail comes out ; once a month.

    Fees  $1 per participant and bring a plate to share for each meeting.

    Next meeting  November 14 , 2013....7pm to 8:30pm
